How to convert JPG to PDF β in 3 steps
SlimIO's JPG to PDF tool bundles your images into one PDF, in the order you choose. Everything runs in your browser, so your files stay private and there is nothing to upload.
- 1. Add your images. Drop in JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC files, or click to browse.
- 2. Arrange the order. Use the up and down arrows to set the page order.
- 3. Set a size limit (optional). If the upload form says βPDF under 200KBβ, pick that limit.
- 4. Download. Click Convert and save the combined PDF to your device.
JPG to PDF under 200KB, 100KB or 500KB
Application forms often ask for βone PDF, maximum 200KBβ for documents like a marksheet, an ID card or a certificate, and phone photos are 2β5MB each. Pick the limit under PDF size limit, or type any size with Custom limit. SlimIO first keeps the photos as they are if they already fit. If not, it saves them again as JPG, lowering the quality first and then the pixel size, and checks the whole PDF each time until it is under the limit. The pages keep their size, so only the sharpness changes.
As a rough guide: in our test, three phone-sized photos of printed text (3024 Γ 4032 px, about 4MB each, with camera-like grain) came out at 192KB with a 200KB limit, each about 650 px on the long side, and the text was still readable. One such page under 100KB kept about 820 px. Cleaner photos keep more. The result shows the size it reached and warns you when small print may be hard to read. Then a higher limit, fewer pages, or cropping away the desk around the paper helps.
Need a smaller PDF?
You can also compress PDF, merge PDF, or turn a PDF into JPG β all free, all in your browser.
How the pages are made
Each image becomes one page of exactly the image's own size β nothing is cropped, stretched or framed with margins. Without a size limit, JPG files are placed into the PDF as they are, without being re-compressed, so they keep their original quality; PNG files keep theirs too. WebP images, and phone photos stored sideways (turned upright by a tag in the file), are redrawn as high-quality JPG first so every page stands the right way up. That also means the PDF is about as big as the images you put in β set a limit when it has to be smaller.
Making a document from phone photos
- Photograph each page from straight above in good light, filling the frame with the paper.
- Crop away the desk in your phone's photo editor if needed.
- Add the photos here, put them in order with the arrows, and convert.
- If the PDF must be under a limit such as 500KB or 2MB, pick it under PDF size limit before converting. For a PDF you already have, use Compress PDF or a compress-to-size page.
Tips
- Photos straight from a modern phone are often 3β5MB each; ten of them make a 30β50MB PDF. A size limit keeps the PDF light.
- iPhone HEIC photos work as they are β they are turned into JPG pages. To get JPG files from them instead, use HEIC to JPG.
